SEO Suite
A live SEO score, a content checklist and a Google results preview right on the product, category and CMS page edit screens, so editors see what to fix while they write. Behind it sit the technical controls that make the score matter on the storefront: meta templates, robots rules, canonical tags, hreflang and JSON-LD structured data. Titles, descriptions and keywords stay in Magento's own fields, so nothing is locked in.
✦Feedback while you write
A live 0-100 score, a checklist with a fix hint for every check, and a Google preview sit on the product, category and CMS page edit screens.
✦Your data stays in Magento
Titles, descriptions and keywords live in Magento's own meta fields. Uninstall with remove-data and every product, category and page is as you left it.
✦Technical SEO handled
Meta templates, robots rules, a single canonical tag, hreflang alternates and JSON-LD for products, breadcrumbs, organization and site search.
✦The whole catalog scored
A dashboard flags missing titles, missing descriptions and duplicate keywords. A command-line tool and a nightly job score what nobody has opened.

SEO for Magento: Live SEO Score, Checklist and Google Preview
Yoast-style SEO for Magento, right on the edit screen
Most Magento SEO extensions are long settings screens. You configure them once, then you are on your own when you write a product description. OCM Labs SEO Suite puts the feedback where the writing happens. Open a product, category or CMS page and the editor shows a live score, a checklist of what to fix, and a preview of how the page will look in Google results.
Feedback while you write
The SEO panel sits above Magento's own Search Engine Optimization section on every product, category and CMS page. Type a focus keyword, plus up to four secondary keywords, and the score starts moving. Eighteen checks cover keyword placement, keyword density, title and description length, content length, image alt text, links and readability. The checklist tells you what passed, what needs a look and what failed, each with its weight and a short hint: move the keyword to the start of the title, shorten the description, add alt text to an image. Every threshold is adjustable in configuration.
See the page the way searchers will
The Google preview has a desktop and mobile toggle. Edit the title, URL key and description right inside it. Those are Magento's own fields, so what you type in the preview is what gets saved. A social preview shows how the page looks when shared, with optional overrides for the social title, description and image.
Scores come in three bands, Poor, OK and Good, and every band is shown with an icon and a text label, never color alone. The panel can be operated from the keyboard and announces score changes to screen readers.
Your data stays in Magento
Titles, descriptions and keywords stay in Magento's own meta fields. The module stores only what Magento has no field for, such as the focus keyword and a robots or canonical override. If you ever uninstall it with the remove-data option, every product, category and page is exactly as you left it. Store-view values work the way you already know: a value set on a store view overrides the default for that field alone, and an empty value inherits.
The technical SEO that makes the score matter
- Meta templates fill in a title or description when a page has none of its own, using the name, SKU, price, category, parent category, store name and storefront-visible attributes. Templates are applied when the page is shown and are never written back to your products.
- Robots rules for search results, filtered category pages and paginated category pages, plus a per-page override.
- Canonical tags with product, filtered and paginated handling, and a per-page override. The module takes over the canonical tag so a page never has two.
- Hreflang alternates for stores with more than one store view, with a locale override and an optional x-default store view.
- Structured data in JSON-LD for products (offers, brand, GTIN, MPN, ratings and reviews), breadcrumbs, and your organization and site search on the home page.
A dashboard for the whole catalog
The SEO Dashboard under Marketing > SEO & Search lists every product, category and CMS page with its score, band, focus keyword and flags: missing title, missing description, no focus keyword, duplicate focus keyword and noindex. Filter by any of them, then re-score or set robots on a whole selection at once. A command-line tool scores the whole catalog in one run, and a nightly job keeps scores current for anything that changed, so the dashboard is never empty for pages nobody has opened yet.
Never breaks a save or a page
Scoring on save runs after the save has committed, and any problem is logged and ignored. Storefront output falls back to Magento's own behavior if a step fails, so a problem in this module can show up as a missing tag but never as an error page. Everything it adds to the storefront is part of the page Magento's full page cache already stores, so cached page views do no extra database work.
What a score means
A high score means a page follows common on-page practice. It is guidance for the editor, not a prediction of where the page will rank. Readability checks run on English store views only, and the preview cuts long text at an approximate width because Google's real display varies by device.
