WordPress Integration for Magento 2

Most Magento stores that run a blog end up with one of two bad options: a bolted-on blog editor that nobody on the marketing team wants to learn, or a WordPress installation on a subdomain that search engines treat as a separate site. This module does neither. It keeps WordPress as the content system your marketing team already knows and renders posts, archives, categories, and menus directly inside your Magento storefront. Same domain, same theme, same navigation as the rest of your store.

No database tables. No migrations.

Content lives in WordPress. This module fetches it from the WordPress REST API and caches it in Magento's native cache backend. There are no Magento database tables, no schema changes, and nothing to debug on upgrade day. Install, configure, connect, and it works.

For agencies running multiple Magento upgrades a year, this matters. Schema conflicts from third-party modules are a known source of upgrade pain. There is nothing here that can conflict.

The cache stays current automatically

The included OC Magento Bridge plugin sends a signed webhook to Magento every time content is published or updated in WordPress. Magento purges the affected cache entries immediately. Your visitors see the updated post the moment it goes live, not 30 minutes later when a TTL expires.

A background cache warmer pre-fetches posts every 4 hours, so first-page loads stay fast even after a purge. Cache lifetimes are configurable per content type: posts default to 30 minutes, categories and tags to 24 hours.

Your WordPress SEO work carries over

If your WordPress site uses Yoast SEO or RankMath, the module reads those meta titles, descriptions, Open Graph tags, Twitter Cards, and robots directives and injects them into the Magento page. Your content team sets SEO metadata once, in WordPress, and it appears correctly on the storefront without anyone touching Magento.

Canonical tags are included, so Google does not see your WordPress origin and your Magento blog URL as duplicate content.

Embed content anywhere with CMS widgets

Three widgets let you place blog content on any Magento CMS page or block without writing code:

Recent Posts: Configurable count, thumbnails, date display, and category filter. Works on homepages, sidebars, and product pages.

Featured Post: Spotlights a specific post by ID, or the latest from a category.

Category Posts: Grid or list layout from any WordPress category. Useful for campaign landing pages that need relevant content.

All three are available in the Magento widget inserter under Content > Pages and Content > Blocks.

Installation

Enter your WordPress URL and API key in Stores > Configuration > OCMLabs > WordPress Integration, click Test Connection, and you're done.
