MAGENTO INTEGRATION

Magento Salesforce Integration: Connectors, Cost and Timeline

This page covers connecting Magento to Salesforce CRM, so sales and service teams see customers, orders and abandoned carts. Salesforce Commerce Cloud is a different product. Salesforce describes it as a platform for ecommerce, POS and order management, which makes it an alternative to Magento, not a link to it.

WHAT SYNCS

What moves between Salesforce CRM and Magento.

DATADIRECTIONNOTES
CustomersOut of MagentoMeetanshi and ECOSIRE send Magento customers to Salesforce as Accounts and Contacts. ECOSIRE de-duplicates on email or an external ID. miniOrange lists customer sync in both directions.
OrdersOut of MagentoECOSIRE sends sales orders, invoices and line items to Opportunities, Orders or custom objects. Meetanshi sends orders as Opportunities. Webkul lists orders as optional, with shipment and tax details.
Products and inventoryOut of MagentoECOSIRE maps products and inventory to Product2 and PricebookEntry. Meetanshi, Magenest and Webkul also sync products. Decide which system owns the catalog before you build.
Abandoned carts and guest checkoutsOut of MagentoECOSIRE sends them to Salesforce as Leads or Tasks. The other connector pages we read do not list carts.
PromotionsOut of MagentoMeetanshi syncs catalog price rules as Salesforce Campaigns. Magenest lists promotional campaigns.
Invoices and credit memosOut of MagentoECOSIRE covers invoices. Magenest's changelog (2.0.0) lists credit memos among the items that can be added to the sync queue. We found no page that describes refund or return handling in Salesforce.
Salesforce edits back to MagentoInto MagentoECOSIRE returns Salesforce edits through webhook controllers or scheduled pulls, with direction set per field. Magenest says its standard build does not include two-way sync.

THE API

The Salesforce CRM API.

ASPECTDETAIL
API typeSalesforce REST API, SOAP API and Bulk API. Salesforce Help says SOAP, REST and Bulk requests count toward API usage.
AuthenticationOAuth 2.0 through an app you create in your Salesforce org. Meetanshi has you create a Connected App and enter its consumer key and secret in Magento. ECOSIRE names the JWT bearer and web-server flows. Webkul says its connection is established through an External Client App.
Rate limitsSalesforce sets a daily API request limit based on your licenses (Salesforce Help). Setup > Company Information shows API requests for the last 24 hours. The REST Limits resource returns DailyApiRequests Max and Remaining, and the REST Sforce-Limit-Info header reports usage. When the limit is used up, the error is REQUEST_LIMIT_EXCEEDED, and Salesforce warns the org may be unable to process API calls for up to 24 hours.

Webkul Salesforce IntegrationExtension$599.00 on the Webkul store page, plus optional installation (+$359.40) and 6-month support (+$350.00). Syncs products, categories and customers from Magento to Salesforce, with orders optional. The page describes real-time sync and background jobs, REST API with OAuth 2.0, and says a Salesforce account is needed before you install. It lists versions 2.0.x to 2.4.x; the 3.0.0 changelog names 2.3.x. It names no Salesforce edition.Vendor page (opens in a new tab)
Meetanshi Salesforce CRM IntegrationExtensionThe Meetanshi page shows no price for this extension. It exports customers (as Accounts and Contacts), orders (as Opportunities), products and catalog price rules (as Campaigns) to Salesforce, in real time or on a cron schedule you define, with a Sync Queue for historical data. Compatible with versions 2.3.0-2.4.9 (CE, EE). Connection uses a Salesforce Connected App. No Salesforce edition is named.Vendor page (opens in a new tab)
miniOrange Salesforce IntegrationExtension$399 for a single instance on the miniOrange page, with annual renewal and a 7-day free trial. Lists two-way customer sync, orders from Magento to Salesforce, product sync and real-time updates. Each Magento installation needs its own license. The page names no Magento version and no Salesforce edition.Vendor page (opens in a new tab)
ECOSIRE Salesforce CRM connectorExtensionBuild-to-order, from $999.00 USD on its page. Real-time sync is queued through the Magento MessageQueue, and cron groups handle nightly reconciliation and backfills. ECOSIRE names OAuth 2.0 (JWT bearer or web-server flow) and Bulk API 2.0 for large loads. Works on Adobe Commerce and Magento Open Source, pinned to your exact version. The page names no Salesforce edition and does not mention returns or credit memos.Vendor page (opens in a new tab)
MuleSoft Adobe Commerce Connector (Mule 4)iPaaSA third-party connector built by TA Digital that performs operations on the Magento REST API. The page says it requires an additional fee for the third party. It covers the Magento side only, so the Salesforce flows still have to be built in MuleSoft.Vendor page (opens in a new tab)
n8n Magento nodeiPaaSn8n's Magento node supports customer (create, delete, retrieve, update), invoice (create), order (cancel, retrieve, ship) and product operations. n8n.io lists a Salesforce workflow under its Magento integrations. We did not verify the Salesforce side.Vendor page (opens in a new tab)
Zapier Magento and SalesforceiPaaSMagento triggers: New Customer, New Order and New Sales Order Credit Memo. Magento actions: Create Customer, Create Sales Order Comment and Create Invoice. Salesforce actions include Create Contact, Create Lead and Update Record. The page names no ready-made Zaps and no pricing.Vendor page (opens in a new tab)
Custom build (Magento REST and Salesforce APIs)CustomAdobe's REST API documentation lists integrating with CRM or ERP systems among its uses. A custom build pairs it with the Salesforce APIs, using Bulk API for backfills and sized around the daily API limit.Vendor page (opens in a new tab)

COST AND TIMELINE

Cost and timeline.

LEVELSCOPETYPICAL RANGETIMELINE
Level 1Connector set up and configured$3,000-8,0002-4 weeks
Level 2 (this integration)Custom API integration (orders, inventory, customers)$10,000-25,0004-8 weeks
Level 3Complex ERP sync (B2B pricing, multiple warehouses, middleware)$25,000-75,000+8-16 weeks

Typical range, quoted after a scoping call.

A one-way push of customers, orders and carts into Salesforce is level 2, because object mapping, deduplication and the settings of your Salesforce org differ from store to store. It rises toward level 3 when Salesforce also feeds back segmentation, account hierarchy or pricing. Connector licenses are the small part of the bill: vendor pages show $399 for Magenest, $599 for Webkul and from $999 for ECOSIRE's build-to-order extension, before Salesforce licenses.

WHERE THESE PROJECTS GO WRONG

Where these projects go wrong.

  • Daily API allowance. SOAP, REST and Bulk requests count toward API usage, and Salesforce warns an exhausted org may be unable to process API calls for up to 24 hours. Size backfills before you run them.
  • Salesforce edition. Magenest lists Enterprise, Unlimited, Developer and Performance as supported and Group, Essentials and Professional as not supported. Confirm API access on your edition before you buy anything.
  • Object choice. Orders can land as Opportunities, Orders or custom objects (ECOSIRE). The choice drives your reports, so settle it before the first sync.
  • Duplicates. Guest checkouts, repeat buyers and contacts already in Salesforce need matching rules, for example email or an external ID.
  • Direction. Magenest's standard build is one-way and ECOSIRE sets direction per field. If both systems can edit a field, decide which one wins before launch.
  • Refunds and credit memos. Vendor pages say little about them, so agree how a refunded order shows up in Salesforce before you build.
