MAGENTO INTEGRATION

Magento HubSpot Integration: Connectors, Cost and Timeline

Connecting Magento to HubSpot puts customers, orders and abandoned carts where marketing and sales already work. Packaged options start at $169. The real decisions are your HubSpot API limits, whether orders land as deals or orders, and who owns consent. BSS Commerce's guide lists what teams use it for: a welcome email after a first purchase, emails to customers who abandoned carts, RFM segmentation (recency, frequency, monetary value) and tracking revenue over a period, with order amounts carried on synced deals.

WHAT SYNCS

What moves between HubSpot CRM and Magento.

DATADIRECTIONNOTES
CustomersOut of MagentoMakeWebBetter and EYEMAGINE map Magento customers to HubSpot contacts. ECOSIRE sends contacts and companies, de-duplicated by email. MakeWebBetter and EYEMAGINE also carry custom customer attributes into contact properties (MakeWebBetter's setup creates the groups and properties).
OrdersOut of MagentoMakeWebBetter, EYEMAGINE and ECOSIRE all map orders to HubSpot deals. ECOSIRE adds line items, value, store view and order status. HubSpot also has an Orders API described as "Create and manage ecommerce order data". BSS Commerce's guide includes mapping Magento order statuses to deal stages.
ProductsOut of MagentoMakeWebBetter and EYEMAGINE map Magento products to HubSpot products. HubSpot's CRM objects include Products and Line Items.
Abandoned cartsOut of MagentoEYEMAGINE maps carts to contacts, ECOSIRE to deals or recovery workflows, and Towering Media offers optional cart sync with a threshold you set. MakeWebBetter uses a separate timer for abandoned-cart sync. HubSpot's Carts object is described as "Create and manage ecommerce cart data".
ConsentOut of MagentoTowering Media lists consent among the entities you can switch on separately. Opt-in data has to line up with HubSpot subscription settings; check how each vendor maps it.
HubSpot changes back to MagentoInto MagentoTowering Media describes its sync as Magento-led with selective inbound enrichment. MakeWebBetter sells a Bi-directional Syncing add-on with no price shown.

THE API

The HubSpot CRM API.

ASPECTDETAIL
API typeHubSpot CRM APIs under https://api.hubapi.com/, with date-based versions such as /crm/objects/2026-09/contacts. HubSpot's CRM objects include Contacts, Companies, Deals, Products, Line Items and Carts.
AuthenticationOAuth for apps used across several accounts or listed on the HubSpot Marketplace, or a static auth token for a single account. Private distribution can be installed in at most 10 accounts at a time. Both types send the token as a Bearer token.
Rate limitsPrivately distributed apps: a burst limit per 10 seconds of 100 per app on Free and Starter and 190 on Professional and Enterprise, and a daily limit per account of 250,000 (Free and Starter), 625,000 (Professional) and 1,000,000 (Enterprise). The daily limit is shared across all apps in the account. The API Limit Increase add-on lifts these. Public OAuth apps get 110 requests every 10 seconds per installing account. An app over its limits receives 429 errors, and the daily limit resets at midnight in the account's time zone.

COST AND TIMELINE

Cost and timeline.

LEVELSCOPETYPICAL RANGETIMELINE
Level 1 (this integration)Connector set up and configured$3,000-8,0002-4 weeks
Level 2Custom API integration (orders, inventory, customers)$10,000-25,0004-8 weeks
Level 3Complex ERP sync (B2B pricing, multiple warehouses, middleware)$25,000-75,000+8-16 weeks

Typical range, quoted after a scoping call.

A one-way push of customers, orders and products into HubSpot is level 1: standard HubSpot objects, a documented API and packaged extensions that start at $169. It becomes level 2 with abandoned-cart automation, B2B company structures, consent mapping or two-way property sync. Licenses are the small part of the bill. Vendor pages show $169 for MakeWebBetter and Towering Media, $250 a month for EYEMAGINE's Starter tier and from $999 for ECOSIRE's build-to-order extension.

WHERE THESE PROJECTS GO WRONG

Where these projects go wrong.

  • API tier limits. Burst and daily limits depend on your HubSpot tier, and the daily limit is shared by every app in the account. A large order backfill can hit 429 errors.
  • Deals or orders. All three vendors that name a target map orders to deals, while HubSpot also has an Orders API. Pick one before building, because reports and workflows hang off it.
  • Duplicate contacts. Guest checkouts, newsletter sign-ups and contacts created in HubSpot need email-based matching.
  • Properties and workflows. MakeWebBetter's setup creates groups, properties, contact lists and workflows in your HubSpot account. Review them before you switch sync on.
  • Consent. Opt-in data from Magento has to map to HubSpot subscription settings, or marketing sends go to the wrong people.
  • Order status mapping. Magento order statuses need a deal stage each, or deals sit in the wrong pipeline stage.

QUESTIONS MERCHANTS ASK

HubSpot CRM integration FAQ.

Which connectors exist and what do they cost?+
MakeWebBetter is $169 one-time on its HubSpot listing. Towering Media is $169.00 for the Community edition. EYEMAGINE starts at $250 a month with a 30-day trial. ECOSIRE is from $999.00 as a build-to-order extension. Zapier, n8n, MuleSoft and a custom build are the other routes. HubSpot licenses are separate.
What are HubSpot's API limits?+
Privately distributed apps get a burst of 100 requests per 10 seconds on Free and Starter and 190 on Professional and Enterprise, with daily limits of 250,000, 625,000 and 1,000,000 per account. Public OAuth apps get 110 per 10 seconds per installing account. Over-limit calls return 429.
How is it set up, and how often does data sync?+
Setup follows the same pattern in the MakeWebBetter and BSS Commerce guides: install the extension from the HubSpot marketplace, authenticate and pick the HubSpot account, then set the sync cron interval. BSS Commerce also has you map Magento order statuses to deal stages (its interval options include daily, hourly and every 5 minutes). Timing varies by connector. MakeWebBetter describes real-time sync, and its guide says a cron sets the interval, with 30 minutes as an example. ECOSIRE combines real-time writes through the HubSpot CRM v3 API with cron batches and backfills. Towering Media queues sync and mixes real-time and asynchronous wording. Ask each vendor for the actual delay.
Should orders sync as deals or as orders?+
MakeWebBetter, EYEMAGINE and ECOSIRE map orders to deals. HubSpot also has an Orders API for ecommerce order data. The right answer depends on how your team reports and automates, and it should be settled before the build.
Do refunds and credit memos reach HubSpot?+
None of the vendor pages we read describe credit memo or return handling. Zapier's Magento app has a New Sales Order Credit Memo trigger, but the page confirms no HubSpot pairing. Agree the behavior up front and test it.
Which Magento versions and HubSpot plans are supported?+
Towering Media lists Magento version 2.4.x, Open Source and Adobe Commerce. ECOSIRE verifies your Magento and PHP version during scoping. MakeWebBetter and EYEMAGINE name no Magento version on their HubSpot listings, and none of the pages we read name a required HubSpot plan, so check the listing's compatible-plans link.
