Best Magento 2 FAQ Extensions Compared (2026)
Five Magento 2 FAQ extensions compared on price, product page Q&A, and Hyva support, verified on vendor pages in July 2026. Ours is here too, disclosed.

One of the five extensions below is ours. We build and sell the OCM Labs FAQ & Product Questions module, so this is a vendor writing a roundup, and you should read it that way.
Here is how we kept it useful anyway: every claim about a competitor comes from that vendor's own product page, which we fetched in July 2026. Prices are quoted as displayed then, for the Magento Open Source tier. Where a vendor's page did not state something, the table says "not stated" instead of guessing. And the criteria come first, so you can disagree with our pick and still use the comparison.
What should you compare before buying a Magento 2 FAQ extension?
Pricing model, where the FAQs render, and who writes the questions. Those three decide the fit; everything else is finish work.
- Pricing model, not price. These five look close on sticker and are not close over three years. One is a flat purchase, three include a first year of updates with paid renewal or prolongation after, one is an annual subscription that stops working as a maintained product if you stop paying. Do the three-year math for your store before comparing features.
- Where FAQs render. A standalone FAQ or knowledge base page, a Q&A tab on product pages, or both. Product page rendering is the one to verify hands-on in the demo, because it is the one shoppers actually hit mid-purchase.
- Who writes the questions. Admin-curated means zero moderation and total control. Shopper-submitted means a form, a queue, and someone owning that queue forever. This is a staffing decision dressed up as a feature checkbox.
- Schema, honestly. Google stopped showing FAQ rich results in May 2026 after restricting them to government and health sites in 2023. FAQPage JSON-LD is still valid markup and still worth having generated automatically, but it is no longer a reason to pick any product on this page, including ours.
- Accessibility. Accordions are keyboard and screen reader traps when done casually. Look for a stated WCAG conformance level, not the word "accessible".
- Theme support. If you run Hyva, find out whether support is built in, a free companion, or a paid add-on before you compare prices.
- Magento version range. Check your exact version against the vendor's stated range, especially on 2.4.9.
The comparison table
Prices are each vendor's Magento Open Source tier as displayed on their own product page in July 2026. Enterprise and Cloud tiers cost more everywhere.

OCM Labs FAQ & Product Questions, $250
Ours. The disclosure from the top of the page applies to every word of this section.
It is a curated product FAQ module with a deliberately small surface: write a question once, assign it to any number of products through a searchable admin grid under Catalog > Product FAQs, and it renders as an accordion tab on each assigned product page, first question expanded, no tab at all when a product has no active FAQs. FAQPage JSON-LD is generated automatically with answers flattened to plain text so WYSIWYG formatting cannot break the markup. The accordion is WCAG 2.1 Level AA conformant, with real button-in-heading semantics and a compliant focus indicator. Luma works out of the box, Hyva through a companion module. Magento 2.4.6 through 2.4.8, Open Source and Adobe Commerce, PHP 8.3+.
What it does not have: a standalone FAQ page, categories, and any shopper submission flow. If you need those, one of the other four fits you better, and we would rather say so here than in a refund thread. It sits alongside the rest of our extension line.
Amasty FAQ and Product Questions, $229
The biggest feature list of the five, per Amasty's product page in July 2026: a searchable FAQ section with category and tag navigation, ask-a-question forms, question ratings, social sharing, FAQ widgets for arbitrary pages, and a product page tab showing FAQs and product questions. GDPR consent and reCaptcha are built into the submission flow, and the page claims ADA and WCAG 2.1 Level AA compliance for both Luma and Hyva, with a Hyva-ready storefront. Listed compatibility runs from 2.4.5 through 2.4.8 patch releases. $229 for Community edition includes twelve months of updates and support; prolongation is $139.
One thing we could not find on the product page: any mention of FAQPage schema or structured data output. If markup matters to you, confirm it against their demo before buying. The fit: stores that want the full FAQ-page-plus-product-Q&A-plus-submissions package from one module and have the admin time to configure it.
Mageplaza FAQ, $149 first year
The value pick on sticker, per Mageplaza's product page in July 2026: an FAQ page with instant search and custom categories, product page FAQ tabs, an ask-a-question form with email notifications, helpfulness voting, related FAQs, GDPR consent and reCaptcha, and rich schema markup per the page. GraphQL support is listed, Hyva is supported, and compatibility is stated as 2.4.4 through 2.4.8. $149 covers the first year for Community edition; the Enterprise tier is $349 first year.
The fit: stores that want both a searchable FAQ page and product tabs at the lowest entry price and accept first-year pricing. Compare renewal cost against the flat-price options over your expected ownership window.
Aheadworks FAQ, $169 per year
The only pure subscription in the table, and closer to a lightweight helpdesk than a product FAQ module. Per Aheadworks' page in July 2026: articles organized by category with images, a chatbot answering from FAQ content, helpfulness ratings, question forms on articles, customer group view permissions, article display on product pages, SEO settings, and GraphQL. Version 1.8.1 supports Open Source and Adobe Commerce 2.4.6 through 2.4.9. Hyva support is an add-on installed via the Aheadworks Composer repository, and a limited free version exists.
The math to run: $169 per year means roughly $507 across three years, against $229 to $250 one-time purchases. The fit: stores that think of FAQ as support content with an owner, want the chatbot and permissions, and are comfortable with subscription licensing.
Mirasvit Knowledge Base, $99 first year
A different shape of product: a knowledge base, not a product FAQ tab. Per Mirasvit's page in July 2026: categorized articles with a WYSIWYG editor, search by content and tags, article ratings and voting, SEO-friendly URLs with meta tags and rich snippet fields, and stated compatibility from 2.3 through 2.4.9 including Hyva. The page also pitches readiness for AI answer engines, which is Mirasvit's claim to weigh, not ours. $99 first year for Open Source, then $60 per year for updates and support.
Nothing on the page describes a per-product Q&A tab, so treat this as the self-service support center option: strong for stores with documentation-heavy catalogs and a real support load, not a fit if the requirement is Q&A on the PDP.
Which one should you pick?
- Curated Q&A on product pages, no moderation queue, accessibility on paper: ours, $250.
- Everything in one module, including shopper submissions and widgets: Amasty, $229 plus prolongation.
- Both FAQ page and product tabs at the lowest entry price: Mageplaza, $149 first year.
- Support-center behavior, chatbot, permissions, subscription licensing: Aheadworks, $169 per year.
- A knowledge base rather than product FAQs: Mirasvit, $99 first year.
If you are still weighing whether you need an extension at all, a CMS page covers the store-wide case for free; we wrote that up honestly in CMS page vs extension, and the product page case in product questions and answers in Magento 2.
